Judy Helms Evans

Rock Hill - Mrs. Judy Helms Evans, 68, of Montclair Drive, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 15, 2014.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene, 722 N. Jones Avenue, Rock Hill. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. James R. Fite officiating. The family will receive friends at other times at the home.

Judy was born and raised in Fort Mill, SC. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Albert Lee "Sonny" Evans and two of her siblings, Patsy Helms Stegall and Larry Helms. Her parents are the late Conley and Minnie Simmons Helms.

She is survived by her three sons; Darrell Evans (Dawn) of Rock Hill, Kevin Evans (Amy) of York, and Randy Evans (Cari) of Rock Hill; three grandsons; Alex, Barrett and Conley; two sisters, Peggy Helms Steele (Ed) of Edgemoor and Vicky Helms Fite (Ron) of Fort Mill; and four sisters-in-law, Peggy Baskin of Rock Hill, Barbara Wright (Alan) of Rock Hill, Gail Jeffords (Carl) of McConnells and Margaret Helms of Fort Mill, SC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, and her beloved dog, Kobe.
