Julia Covington Rodgers

York - Mrs. Julia C Rodgers "Judy," 76 of York SC, received her wings on Friday, May 24, 2019.

A lifetime resident of the York-Rock Hill area, Judy was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dora Covington. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Cecil and Walter, and her husband, Kell Rodgers.

Judy enjoyed passing the time with singing and line dancing. She was especially fond of calling her friends and family on their birthdays and serenading them with the Birthday song. Judy showed her love for her family by cooking up delicious meals and sweet desserts. If she wasn't Facetiming with her great-grandkids you could find her enjoying an episode of Diagnosis Murder.

Judy is survived by her daughter Dee Carpenter (Tim), her son Scott Goins (Susan), her daughter Lynn Smith (Luke), 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, one sister, and 4 brothers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29 between 3:00 and 5:00 pm at Allison Creek Presbyterian located at 5780 Allison Creek Rd, York, SC 29745. The celebration of life will begin at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Allison Creek Presbyterian.
