She was born to parents Pamela Alford Pettit and Kelvin Dean Tucker Sr, on November 02, 1986, in Rock Hill, SC.  She enjoyed Singing, Dancing, Rapping, TV binge watching, Driving and Cruising, Her husband, her faith and belief in God.  She loved playing bingo with her mom at the American legion.  She loved family get-togethers. She will be remembered as a lady who loved her husband, her family, nieces and nephews and great nephews and were all very important to her.  They loved her and referred to her as mama Kaye.  Kandi never met a stranger and was always willing to help any way she was able. She was very loving, soft spoken, and very quick to forgive.  She will be missed dearly by her family.

In 2007, Kandi was honored with a Cashier of the Year Award from The Home Depot for her punctuality, service, and consistency. Earlier in the years leading up to her career at the Home Depot she had given her heart to Christ and devoted herself to worship and to the Word. She was a member at Calvary Baptist Church at 830 North Jones Ave in Rock Hill South Carolina.

Kandi met Joshua Michael Dagenhart in 2001 and they were married finally on October 12th, 2017, in Rock Hill with only those closest to her invited per her request. Together and since they helped anyone they could and always tried to bring peace wherever they went. She will be missed by her immediate family which includes her mother, father, brother, and her brother's children. Her husband deeply misses her and tries to recall the message he says God put in his path after her death. The message came from an ornament used during Christmas that she deeply cherished. The message reads "I'm not gone. I'm just spending this year with Jesus for Christmas!"

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joshua; her mother, Pamela Alford Petitt; her father, Kelvin Dean Tucker Sr; her brother, Kelvin Dean Tucker Jr; her stepfather, Stanley Petitt; her cousin, Misty McManus that she always referred to as her sister.  Her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and anyone else who had the pleasure of knowing her.
