Karen "Katie" Denise Williams Miller

Karen "Katie" Williams Miller, 61, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2103 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was surrounded by her family. She was born July 4, 1952 to Ernest Ray and Sarah "Betsy" Robinson Williams. She was a native of York, SC and grew up in Rock Hill, SC. She graduated from Rock Hill High School and was retired from Comporium, where she worked for 40 years. Katie was a strong willed woman with many talents. She loved her family and animals. She always could make you smile. She was a great wife, daughter, aunt, and a mother figure to some. We will miss her, but she is now with the love of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Ricky" Miller, sister-in-law, Lynn B. Williams, nephew, Danny Ray Williams, Jr. (Cory). Katie and Ricky were married for 43 years before his death in March of 2012. Survivors include her parents Ernest Ray and Sarah Robinson (Betsy) Williams, 2 brothers, Danny Ray Williams and Harry Wayne Williams (Kookie), 4 nieces, Leslie Williams Hensley, Katelyn Williams, Mariah Gail Williams, and Charlotte Ashe Williams, one great niece and 2 great nephews, Cheyanne Jane Williams, Cory T. and Will R. Hensley. A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Zion Presbyterian Church Building Fund, or to the Hospice on one's choice.
