Kathryn "Kit" Holstein Smith

Kathryn Holstein Smith, “Kit”, 95, of Fort Mill, SC, and formerly of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024. She was born July 1, 1929 in Harrisburg, PA.

She is preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Kathryn Holstein and her husband Fran Smith.

Kit had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. She loved to entertain and cherished spending time with her friends and family. She had a passion for traveling and exploring new places and was always ready for a new adventure. Outgoing by nature, Kit never met a stranger and was quick to give others a warm welcome with her amazing smile. Kit’s presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the kindness and love that she brought to those around her.

Kit is survived by her daughters, Patti Crigler and husband Mike, Pam Sroka and husband Bern, and Kim Grabovich; grandchildren, Ryan and Kate Crigler; and cousins near and far. Kit was also blessed with an extended circle of close friends.

Kit’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all of the Via Hospice nurses and staff and to the staff at Wellmore of Tega Cay for the compassionate and supportive care they provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
