Kathy Faye Cooney

York - Mrs. Kathy Faye Hines Cooney, 63, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, at her home.

The family will receive friends 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Whitesell Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Tony Caruso officiating.

A native of York County, Mrs. Cooney was a daughter of the late Claude Hines and Macie Faye Ward Hines. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended Elevation Church, Rock Hill Campus. She loved decorating and arranging her house and today is decorating the Pearly Gates.

Surviving are her husband, Mark D. Cooney; a son, Mark A. Cooney (Morgan); two daughters, Tiffany Steele (Marques) and Lori Akers (Paul); two sisters, Candy Sue Sutton and Robin Hines; one brother, Ricky Hines; and nine grandchildren, Mary Morton, Will Morton, Keirra Steele, Macie Morton, Cameron Steele, Mattie Steele, Bryson Steele, Benton Akers, and Aulbree Cooney.
