Kathy Lee Mathis

Kathy Lee Bailes Mathis, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and friend made her transition peacefully on Saturday 12/16/2023. She is survived by her son Brandon Mathis and her grandchildren, Adalynn Mathis, 9, Kaden Mathis, 8, and Weston Mathis, 2. Kathy grew up in Fort Mill SC on pleasant Rd with her parents James Bailes and Katherine Bailes. She worked at Duke Energy for most of her life and retired at an early age. She was a kind, sweet, loving, and giving person. She loved the beach, Elvis, dogs and all animals, and old tv shows. She also enjoyed cooking and was always hunting for a recipe. She enjoyed attending church at Southside Baptist Church  or watching it on livestream. She loved Jesus and her Bible very much. Kathy was a loving and fun Mother and grandmother. She made the simplest games magical. When her grandbabies were over she gave them all her love and attention. She was a great Mother and Grandmother that made childhood fun and exciting. She was the kind of Mom that would always give her babies that last piece of cake. She simply was the best of us all. She is still with us in spirit and lives on in the hearts of those she loved and that loved her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
