Kenneth Sylvester Jackson, Jr.

Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Kenneth Sylvester Jackson, Jr., 60, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Atrium Health, Pineville, NC.

The family will receive friends 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Whitesell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Whitesell Funeral Home Chapel.

A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Jackson was the son of the late Kenneth Sylvester Jackson, Sr. and Joanne Conrad Koonts.

Ken loved playing the drums since he was 8 years old, he was a musician for many bands throughout his life, he was an avid artist and had won many awards for his artwork, he was a huge Houston Texan’s football fan and an aviation enthusiast.  He loved his dogs KC and Jackie and they were a constant companion to him throughout his illness.  His best friends were his son Steven, his daughter Leigh and his sister Kim.  He loved all of his family dearly and was a true friend to many.

Surviving are his son, Steven Anthony Jackson and his wife, Sirey of Alvin, TX; a daughter, Leigh Anne Randall and her husband, Riley of Charleston, SC; a brother, Matt Meadows and his wife, Jennifer of North Charleston, SC; a sister, Kimberly Gaffney of Rock Hill, SC; five grandchildren, Chase Evans, Lilly Grace Jackson, Riley Jackson, Pierce Jackson, and Colt Jackson; nieces and nephews, Alex Gaffney, Daniel Gaffney, Isaac Meadows, Ben Meadows, Johanna Meadows, and Nicole Meadows.
