Colonel (Ret.) Kenneth C. Sallenger, 73, of Windsor, NC, passed away on June 23rd, 2017 at his home in Tega Cay, SC.
Visitation will be at Montlawn Funeral Home at 2911 S Wilmington Street in Raleigh, NC from 5pm to 7pm on June 26th, 2017.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 at Montlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Montlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Palmetto Funeral Home of Fort Mill, SC in conjunction with Montlawn Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC
Ken was born in Windsor, NC to Gloria and William Kenneth Sallenger. Ken was a Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather and always, a soldier. Ken passed away peacefully with family by his side at his Tega Cay home.
Ken is preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Brother, Ken is survived by his Wife, Margaret of 48 years, his Brother Thomas, his Sister Nancy, his 2 children Ken Jr. and Kimberely, 3 Grandchildren, Devin, Taylor and Benjamin and many Cousins and Friends from places like Texas, South Dakota and the Carolinas.
Ken was very aware of the love and prayers for him before he passed and is thankful for each and every one of them and as he stated more than once, "I've lived a good life"
