Kenneth J. Thibodeau, 63, a devoted husband, father, and distinguished U.S. Air Force veteran, passed away too soon on November 25, 2024. His legacy of service, leadership, and passion for life will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Born on May 16, 1961, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Kenneth was the son of the late Henry and Carold Thibodeau. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1979, beginning a remarkable 29-year career that saw him rise to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Kenneth’s time in the Air Force was marked by exemplary leadership and service, which earned him numerous awards and decorations that reflected his dedication to the U.S. military and his country.
During his time in service and after he continued his education, ultimately earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Logistics. After retiring from the Air Force, Kenneth worked for 13 years with the SDDC before transitioning to contracting, where he continued to contribute his vast experience until his passing.
Outside of his professional achievements, Ken lived life to the fullest. He found joy in visiting new places around the world. He had an enthusiasm for beer as he enjoyed visiting breweries and curating a collection of breweriana. He also enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and was a devoted fan of Boston sports teams. Throughout his life Ken was steadfast in his faith, never missing a Sunday church service and actively participating in Bible study groups.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Chong Thibodeau, his son, Adam Thibodeau, his sisters, Laura Gaudet and Michelle Legere, and his nieces and nephews, Tracy Gaudet, Michael Gaudet, Dan Legere, Nicole Legere Lipton, and Jimmy Legere, and extended family members.
Kenneth’s legacy of service, devotion, faith, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished forever, and his contributions and love to his country, his friends, and his family will never be forgotten.
