Kenneth Shane Walden

Kenneth Shane Walden, known by loved ones as "Shane," passed away unexpectedly on
December 21 st , 2019 in Fort Mill, SC.
Shane was born on July 27 th 1971 in Rock Hill, SC. He attended Fort Mill High School and York
Tech Community College and began working at the Bank of America Stadium in 2001. His
commitment and knowledge of the job earned him the title of Mechanical Systems Manager.
When not at work you would often find Shane camping with his family, fishing with the boys,
mountain biking, fixing cars with his son, Dylan, and always lending a helping hand. Shane was
known as mister "fix it all."
He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth "Chi-Si" Walden.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Kim; his children Ashlyn and Dylan Walden; his
mother, Melia Howard; his siblings Shana Chapman (Jerry), Chad Walden (Joy), and Shaun
Walden; his grandfather, Lewis Howard; his nephews: CJ, Austin, Michael, and Jake; his nieces:
Kennedy, Hannah, Aly, Emily, Manissa, Ashley, Taylor, Carly, and Kylie; and several in-laws, aunts,
uncles, cousins, and friends.
Shane was a man loved by many and will be tremendously missed. A piece of our hearts is now
in heaven. The family wishes to extend special thanks to those who have been supportive in our
time of need, and we are extremely grateful for your kindness.
Funeral services will be held at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Friday, December 27th with visitation from 12:00pm-2:00pm followed by a formal service at 2:00p Entombment will follow in Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
