Kevin William "Ken" Malone

78, passed away peacefully in his sleep March 30, 2018. Born Jan 17, 1940 in Jamaica Plains, MA was the son of the late William Joseph Malone and late Mary Theresa Malone. Ken served in the United States Air Force from 1957 - 1961. Ken was retired from Bowater with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends. He loved to read, and golf was his passion. Ken lived life to the fullest and loved to joke with anyone. He loved life and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Brian Malone and nephew David Damon Survivors include his loving wife, Faye (Shugart) Malone; children, Mark Malone, William (Angel) Malone, Laura (Robert) Shoemake, Kevin (Susan) Malone; brother William (Mary), sister Diane, sister in law Carol; grandchildren, Chris, Brandon, Joey, Shannon, Rebekah, Katie, Taylor, Erin Brynn; 16 great grandchildren; former wife and mother of his children Cathy Rushton; 7 nieces and nephews; step children Marie, Butch, Wanda In lieu of flowers the family requested memorials are to be made to The Elks National Foundation - 2750 North Lakeview Avenue Chicago IL 60614-2256 or www.elks.org/enf/ A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2PM inthe Bass-Cauthen Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends immediatley following.
