Kevin Roger McGrath, age 81, Fort Mill, SC, died on November 9, 2021. A memorial service will be held on November 12, 2021 11:00, at Unity Presbyterian Church, Fort Mill, SC with Rev. Dr. Matthew A. Rich officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Narthex.

Kevin was born in Quincy, MA on May 2nd 1940, to the late Ella Kelleher and Philip Thomas McGrath. At age 10, his family moved to Whitman, Massachusetts. Kevin graduated from Whitman High School in 1957 and attended Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts in the Co-op program, majoring in accounting. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1962 and was employed with Arthur Young and Company, public accounting firm. After leaving Arthur Young and Company, Kevin worked for the next 20 years at Knapp Shoe Company and Etonic Shoe Company as Controller. In 1990, Kevin and his wife Mary Sue, moved to South Carolina and he pursued a variety of jobs, retiring in October 2019. Kevin was active in Financial Executive Institute and American Footware Industry Assoc. He loved his time serving with the Music Parent Assoc. in East Bridgewater, MA.
Kevin served his Country in the Army National Guard of Massachusetts and was Honorably Discharged on February 19, 1969.
Kevin loved time spent with his family, especially traveling. Kevin loved to travel and planned many trips in the United States including Yellowstone National Park and The Grand Canyon. He and Mary Sue loved their trips to London, Ireland, and Switzerland. His favorite place was Mount Washington, NH where his father had hiked, and Kevin hiked many times.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue of 55 years, his son William Thomas McGrath, and his grandson, Camron David McGrath. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Burke, Natick Massachusetts and Maureen Dinn (Jim) Whitman, MA, his sister-in-law Ann Aheron (Wilfred) Rock Hill SC, brother-in-law Charles McCollum (Rita), Eden, NC and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731; Unity Presbyterian Church Imagine the Possibilities, 303 Tom Hall St, Fort Mill SC 29715; or the charity of your choice.
