Kevin Eugene Poplin

Rock Hill, SC -  Mr. Kevin Eugene Poplin, 61, went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center with his wife, Cathy and his girls around him.

He was born in Bakersfield, CA on February 12, 1963, and was a son of the late Paul and Delores Poplin of Alabama.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Cathy; three daughters, Nikki Barfield (Brian), Kimmi Poplin (Brandon), and Tiffiani Poplin (Bryce); two brothers, Rick Poplin (Ylonda) and Jeff Poplin; a sister, Sheryl Jones (Fiso); four grandchildren, Cayden Barfield, Kenleigh Barfield, Braxton Poplin and Aria Poplin, several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Kevin enjoyed fishing and going to the races.  He mostly enjoyed going to the beach and taking cruises with his grandchildren.  He loved his girls and grandbabies with everything in him.  They were what kept him going for so long.

The family will receive friends 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Glenrock Baptist Church, 1815 N. Doby Bridge Road, Fort Mill, SC and a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Gene Flack officiating.  A few words will be shared from a long-term friend, Daryl Huntington.  Burial will be private.

Family will receive friends at other times at the home of Cathy Poplin.
