Kitty L Towery

Kitty Towery, of Catawba, went to her eternal home on Friday, February 24th, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by love in her final moments, as well as in her life. She was born on March 9, 1946 in Fairmont, WV to Neill and Martha Thomas. She graduated from Charles Towne High School. She was so loved by her family, her Rainbow Circle neighborhood family, and her work family at Morris Jenkins. Kitty loved her family, gardening, her beloved pets, and fostering rescues. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband Vic Towery. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa (Rob) and Dawn, her brothers, Chuck Thomas (Wendy), Fred Thomas (Renee) , her granddaughter Jessica (Kevin) and grandchildren Masyn and Josie, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be from 1-2 on Tuesday February 28th at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill, with a celebration of her life at 2:00 pm. The graveside service will follow that at the Memorial Gardens there. If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, please make them to Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, or to the animal rescue of your choice.
