Larry Monroe Hathcock

McConnelles, SC - Larry Monroe Hathcock, 76 years old, (9/12/40 - 5/19/17) of McConnells SC passed away on May 19, 2017.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Whitesell Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Sturgis officiating.

He was born to Catherine and Ike Hathcock of Fort Mill, SC.

He is survived by his two daughters Jennifer Townson (Anthony) and Amanda Hathcock (Gary), three grandsons, Travis and Tyler Townson and Trevor Hathcock, one sister, Betty Shue, and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Larry was loving father, grandfather, and friend.

Larry worked as a diesel mechanic for Frito Lay for close to 20 years where he retired. He was an auto mechanic and diesel mechanic for all of his adult life. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He took great pride in this and spoke of it often.

Larry was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to rabbit hunt and was a lifelong deer hunter and fisherman. Anyone who knew him, or even spoke to him (he never met a stranger) knew that he loved his animals (3 horses, 3 cats, 10 rabbit dogs) but especially is dog Harley and his most recent companion Kip.
