Laura "Beth" (Burgess) Dennis

Laura "Beth" Burgess Dennis, 57, of Clover, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at home. She was born February 21, 1961 in Rock Hill, SC, daughter of the late Palmer Lee Burgess and Frances Misskelley Burgess of Rock Hill. In addition to her father, Beth was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Lea Burgess. Beth worked for Aplix in Charlotte for many years. A nurturer by nature, Beth and her husband, Frank moved to Surfside Beach to take care of her late mother-in-law, Bonnie Dennis for many years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be dearly missed. In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Frank Dennis; daughter, Jessica Myers Pendergrass and husband, Jarrett of Catawba; son, Trey Dennis of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Lane, Colin and Owen Pendergrass; brothers, James Burgess of Rock Hill, Gary Burgess of York, and Lee Burgess of Lockhart; sisters, Terry Smith and husband, Mike of Rock Hill, Lynn Burgess of York, Diane Angel and husband, Roger of Fort Mill and Donna Talley and husband, Rick of Rock Hill; sisters-in-law, Kim Munday, Kelly Edwards and Donna Pizzola; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Monday, July 16, 2018 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beth's memory to the York County Humane Society, 8177 Regent Parkway, Suite 103, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
