L.C. 'Mike' Alberts

LC "Mike" Alberts, 81, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 due to natural causes. He was born September 8, 1930 to the late Lloyd and Nellie Alberts in Jackson, MI where he lived most of his life. Mike served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1949 and U.S. Air Force from 1950-1952. He retired from Goodyear; and was a member of the Moose Lodge of Jackson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, billiards and woodcarving. Mike touched many lives, hard worker, dedicated to family and friends 'fought the good fight'. Mike is survived by his daughters, Catherine Burns of Martin, TN, Ellie Karhoff of Jackson, MI and Mary (Rick) Mifflin of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren, Becky Karhoff, Michael Burns, Ross, Benjamin and Joshua Mifflin; sister, Alice Turney of Summerfield, FL. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Palmetto Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 6:00 PM. The family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Moose Lodge of Jackson, MI.
