Lee Michael "Mike" Blount

Lee Michael (Mike) Blount, 67, formerly of St. Simons Island, passed away Thursday in Rock Hill, SC. He served in the United States Marine Corps, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a past member of the St. Simons Optimist Club, and coached little league baseball on St. Simons. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer and was a retired lineman for Georgia Power Company. He is survived by his wife, Anne Butler Blount, two sons Michael Blount (Rene) of Rock Hill, SC, and Christian Blount of Rock Hill, SC. Three grandchildren, two sisters, Marjorie Joiner of Brunswick, GA, Susie Richardson of Canton, GA, and a brother Paul Blount of St. Simons Island, GA and several nieces and nephews.
