Lee Bolick Burkett

Lee Bolick Burkett joined our Lord and Savoir on July 23, 2020. Her final days were spent surrounded by family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter. Lee had touched in so many ways her family and friends throughout her memorable life.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Methodist Church and active with the Women's Democratic Party. She graduated from Lancaster High School, Lancaster SC and Columbia College in Columbia, SC.

Lee's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile and loving heart brought so much joy to all. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved to always champion the causes that were dear to her heart. She enjoyed music and reading. Her favorite quote: "Life can either be accepted or changed. If it is not accepted, it must be changed. If it can not be changed, then it must be accepted."

Lee is survived by her loving husband Anthony Burkett, children Hannah Robinson and Aaron Burkett of Rock Hill, SC; her mother Linda Bolick of Fort Mill, SC; her sister Lori and husband Tripp Cauthen, her nephew Dru Cauthen, niece Cameron Cauthen of Charlotte, NC, an uncle, John Bolick of Charlotte, NC and 2 cousins Dana Boatwright and Nicole Gillenwater. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Bolick.

A service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11 am at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park.
