Leonard 'Len' William Peters

Leonard William Peters "Len" Len, age 72 of Fort Mill, SC, passed away September 18, 2013 at home surrounded by those he loved. He was born October 3, 1940 in Wallington, NJ to the late Paul and Johanna Peters and grew up in Clifton, NJ. He retired from Sentry Insurance after a 32 year career. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and Stevens Technical Institute. He enjoyed watching and playing sports, and was active in softball until his mid 60's. He served on the HOA board in his neighborhood and on the Allocation Committee for York County United Way. He is survived by his beloved wife Teddi, children Jeff, Darlene Lobraico (Marty) and Craig, grandchildren Desiree Peters, Treven Peters, Toby Peters, Dominick Lobraico, Julia Peters and Sammi Peters, sister Claire Hoogmoed, nephew Ron Hoogmoed and nieces Nancy Everhart and JoAnn DeVall. Funeral Service will be held 1:30 Saturday, September 21st 2013 at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel, the family will receive friends from 12-1:30 prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, NC. Memorials may be sent to the Human Society of York County, 8177 Regent Parkway, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
