Leroy Drawdy

Leroy Drawdy, 81, 0f 3971 Highway 324, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at his residence. A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Drawdy was born January 16, 1928 a son of the late Charles Coley and Gertrude Crawford Drawdy. He was a self-employed roofer and a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son. Surviving are his wife of 65 years Vauncile Black Drawdy; five daughters Theresa Platts, Deloras Melton and husband Ken, Sharon Ramsey and husband Alton, Sandy Thomas and husband Mike, Rhonda Drawdy and husband Bruce all of Rock Hill; two sons Lynn Drawdy and wife Sharon, Glenn Drawdy and wife Becky all of Rock Hill; two sisters Hazel Smith of Ft. Mill and Elsie Funderburke of Rock Hill; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Sunday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Drawdy will br held Monday at 1:00pm at Bethesda Presbyterian Church with Reverend Daniel Smoak officiating.
