Leslie Hope Helms

Indian Land, SC – Leslie Hope Helms, 47, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Greater Life Baptist Church, 17025 Lancaster Highway, Charlotte, NC 28277, with the Rev. Tim Blue officiating

A native of Indian Land, Hope was a daughter of Donald Mack Helms and Trina Lynn Satterfield.  Hope will be remembered as a person who loved her two boys and her dog, Jo Jo.  She enjoyed cooking, listening to music and decorating. Anyone who knew her will remember her as a jokester.  She was a very compassionate person.  Her favorite saying was, “I love you big.”  She loved using her telescope to look at the moon in the evening.

Surviving in addition to her parents, are her two sons, Brandon Helms (Katey) and Justis Helms; stepmother, Pam Helms; three sisters, Summer Hurlbut (Luke), Natasha Morrow (Chris), and Mary Yarbrough; five nephews; four nieces; and her Duda, Wanda Whitesides.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald “Little Donnie” Wayne Helms; and a sister, Holly Helms.
