Lewis Hunt

Mr. Lewis Dixon Hunt of Tega Cay South Carolina died on January 9, 2014 with his children by his side. Lewis was born January 16, 1928 in Brazil Tennessee, the son of Mr. Jack and Ruth Hunt. In 1952, Lewis married the love of his life Martha Nel Whitehead. The couple resided in Memphis while Lewis completed his electrical engineering degree. Lewis worked his entire career at Okonite Wire and Cable. Lewis was the ultimate handy man for all of his friends and family. Lewis loved and lived life to the fullest traveling and making lifetime friends of all who met him. Lewis is survived by three children Kenneth Hunt, Janice Griffin and Charlie Hunt, grandchildren Amy Baker , Ashley Lowder , Mattie Griffin, Davis Griffin, great grandchildren Dylan and Gracie Lowder, Austin and Addy Baker , and a number of other relatives and close friends who loved him. A "Celebration of his life" memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29707.
