Lillie Beck Bishop

Lillie Beck Bishop, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and citizen of The Catawba Indian Nation, passed away on May 5, 2024, at her home. Born on December 5, 1941, in Rock Hill, SC, she was a devoted homemaker and loving mother. Lillie's love extended to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lula Blue Beck and Major John Beck, her husband, Steve Bishop, her son, Darren Brent Wilburn, brothers: Major Buddy Beck and Sam Nelson Beck, and sister, Louise Bryson.

Lillie is survived by her daughters: Donna Beck Curtis and Sandra Price; son, Frank Wilburn; grandchildren: Ronnie Beck and his wife, Jessica, Derrick Curtis and his wife, Megin, Tim Price and his wife, Jennifer, Brittany Wilburn and her wife, Grace, and Bryan Wilburn; great grandchildren: Blake Beck and his wife, Taylor, Haylee Scott, Collin Beck, and Ava Price; and numerous nieces, nephews and additional family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Whitesell Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints off of Reservation Road with burial to follow at the Catawba Ward Cemetery.

Lillie will be remembered fondly for her unwavering love and kindness.
