Lillie Irene (Mccarver) James

Lillie Irene McCarver James, 89, of Rock Hill passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House following a period of declining health.

Lillie was born on January 9, 1930 to the late John and Mary Robinson McCarver.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Marshall James, two sons Danny and Roger James, one grandson Matthew James, daughter-in-law Anita James, five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her son Tommy James (Shannon) of Stanly, NC, David "Michael" James of Rock Hill, two daughters Vickie Blackwelder of Fort Mill, SC and Sherry Case of Stanly, NC. Also surviving is her brother Wayne McCarver of Charlotte, NC, four grandchildren Rusty, Brian, Kandy, Marshal; six great-grandchildren Kaire, Aly, Alan, Lee, Alexa and Oliva; four great-great grandchildren Jordan, Lily, Carter and Grayson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Lowry Drennen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill.

Interment will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
