Linda Gail Hilton

Linda Gail (Dennis) Hilton, of Rock Hill, SC, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to the late James and Helen Dennis on July 30, 1952, in Albemarle, NC.

Linda dedicated her career to serving others as a restaurant manager with Carl-Cin Restaurants. Beyond her work, she was known for her generous spirit, unwavering love for her family and friends, and passion for life’s simple pleasures.

Linda was an avid quilter and flower gardener who found joy in creating beauty and nurturing those around her. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and abundance—she often joked that growing up in a big family meant she never learned how to cook for just one or two. Family gatherings were her favorite, filled with laughter, stories, and her delicious cooking. Linda also loved beach music, Jimmy Buffett, and cherished vacations both at the beach and in the mountains. Among her greatest joys were craft and movie nights with her grand-girls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William F. Hilton, and her sisters, Doris Davis and Martha Barnes.

She is survived by her three sons; David Dennis (Donna), Larry Harrington (Mary), and William F. Hilton II (Meg). Her grandchildren; Brooke Barnes (Jeremy), Morgan Williams (Davie), and Rebecca Hilton and four great-grandchildren. Her siblings; Jerry Dennis, Judy Kay Fraley, Lois Roland (Jerry), Veronica Ingram, Tammy Dennis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. A private burial will be held for immediate family members.

Linda loved flowers, and we know she would love to be surrounded by them as we celebrate her life.
