It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Johnson Hoffman, who departed this life on February 12th, 2025 in her beloved hometown of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Born on August 10th, 1945, Linda was a remarkable woman whose life was woven with love, kindness, and resilience.
Linda was the cherished daughter of Joseph Odell Johnson Sr. and Sara Neal Johnson, who instilled in her the values of hard work, compassion, and the importance of family. Growing up in Rock Hill, she embraced the warmth of a close-knit community and developed lifelong friendships that enriched her life.
On her journey through life, Linda found her soulmate in William Joe Hoffman. They were married on Christmas Day, December 25th, 1965. Their love was a beautiful testament to partnership and devotion. Together, they built a wonderful life filled with laughter and joy.
Linda was preceded in death by her Parents, Joseph Odell Johnson Sr. and Sara Neal Johnson, her beloved husband, William Joe Hoffman, and her Brother, Joseph Odell Johnson Jr.
Linda was the proud Mother of two children, John Eric Hoffman (Trudy Hoffman) and Kathy Hoffman Bungard (John Bungard). Her children were her pride and joy, and she dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting them throughout their lives. As a Grandmother, Linda's heart expanded even further. She was blessed with three Grandchildren: Logan Hoffman Wilkins (Christopher Wilkins), Luke Bungard, and Abby Bungard. Each Grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She happily awaited the arrival of her Great-Grandchild, Hayes Wilkins, who she looked forward to meeting in March 2025.
Linda's legacy is one of unconditional love and unwavering strength. She put her faith in the Lord as she survived Stage 4 Brain Cancer surgery and treatment in 2023. She was an active member of Mt. Holly Methodist Church, where she loved her Lord, her Church, and her Church family. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel special, and her warm smile could light up even the darkest days. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a source of comfort, wisdom, and laughter. She showed us all the importance of faith, cherishing our loved ones, and celebrating life's simple pleasures.
While Linda's life on earth has come to an end, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. A Celebration of Life to honor her memory will be on February 23rd at 3pm in the Mt. Holly Methodist Church FLC in Rock Hill.
As we say goodbye, let us carry forward her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Linda. Your love will forever remain in our hearts. We love you.
