Linda Castrilli Smith

January 19, 1950 — November 17, 2012

Linda C. Smith, 62, of Tega Cay, SC passed away on Saturday, November 17, after a two year struggle with cancer. Linda was born in New York City, the only child of Faye and Louis Castrilli. She was a graduate of Dominican Academy High School, and received her B.A. from Fordham University in 1971. She married Loren Smith in New York City, on September 4, 1976. Linda began her career with Bank of America as a legal secretary in June of 1986, and rose to the position of SVP, Practice Group Operations, Legal Department. Along with fulfilling the duties of her position, Linda was beloved as a mentor and friend by her teammates. Linda served as President of Saint Philip Neri's Women's Group and after her term expired remained an active member until her death. Linda is survived by her husband of 36 years, Loren Smith, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Viewing will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 20 at Palmetto Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Mill. Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 21, 2012, at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church with Father John Giuliani, C.O. officiating with a visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Building Fund of Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Rd.
