Logan Riley Staib

June 17, 1999 — May 30, 2023

Fort Mill, SC

Senior Airman Logan Riley Staib died May 30, 2023 while stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. Logan was born to David Staib and Christina Maciejewski on June 17, 1999 in Wilmington, DE.  Logan spent his childhood in South Carolina, graduating from Fort Mill High School in 2017.

Logan had 23 beautiful years on this earth living life to the fullest. During his younger years summer vacations were spent in Cape May, NJ fishing, swimming, or climbing the Cape May Lighthouse. Later in his teenage years, he found joy in building cars with his dad, with most days spent in the garage tinkering on mustangs, Jeeps, or what ever Logan's friends brought by. Whether it was taking his car down a racetrack, riding solo on his motorcycle, or just tinkering in the garage with his dad on their latest car project, Logan made the most of each experience. He loved music and playing the guitar for his friends and family. He also had a love for fishing and being at the beach. Logan loved to travel and especially enjoyed Arizona. In the short time he spent stationed in Okinawa, Logan found joy in exploring his surroundings and often sent pictures back to the “Fam Bam” of the beautiful locations he found while exploring. Logan was especially excited to become an uncle to Lelah Riley Edwards in June of 2023.

He is survived by: His Father: David Staib (Kelly); Mother: Christina Maciejewski (Greg); Sister: Peyton Edwards (Pierre); Step-brother: Paul Maciejewski (Aaron); Grandmother: Susan F. Green “Marmee”; Grandfather: Larry R. Green “Poppy"; Maternal Grandmother: Shirley Rexrode (Rex); Aunt: Marisa Davis; Uncles: Jason Staib (Joanna), Jarrod Green; Cousins: Tyler and Johanna Jewell, Jackson, Benjamin, and Emma;

As well as a host of extended family and friends.
