Lori Lynn Parker Thompson born Aug 27, 1957 in Sheridan Michigan she passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016.
Mother Joyce Arlynn Dickerson Parker, Father Eugene Elyle Parker (deceased) stepmother Della Parker of Florida, brothers and sister Diane Dawn Arellano of Michigan her children Hunter, James and Joseph and Lori Kircher, Eric E. Parker, Phillip Eugene Parker Wife Michelle, Tega Cay, South Carolina .Their sons Trevor and son Mitchel Parker, and Shane Parker and his wife Crystal Parker and their children Nicholas and Lilly Grace.
Lori graduated from Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Michigan in 1976. She graduated from Hurley School of Nursing in Flint Michigan 1979 and is a proud RN.
She and Ricky D. Thompson were married Oct 18, 1980. She and Ricky celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary.
Rick's parents Odis and Deloris (Kitten) live in Dayton, Ohio. Rick's sister Sandy and her partner Michelle also live in Ohio.
Her nieces and nephews and Great nieces and nephews were the light of her life.
Lori worked as a Registered Nurse from 1980 to 2000 at The Children's Medical Center in Dayton Ohio in NICU Transport and Surgery in 2000 Rick and Lori moved to Fort Mills, South Carolina. She worked until 2013 as a nurse at the Same Day Surgery Center at the Presbyterian Novant Medical Center in Charlotte and also the Bayda Nursing Company where she cared for a special young man, Joe Reames, for many years.
Lori was active in her church, Grace Presbyterian Church of Fort Mill,
helping with children's ministry, and knitting prayer shawls. She was a
member of the Classic Rouge Red Hat Club of Rock Hill and a loyal
member of the Knit N Purls Thursday night knitting group that meets at the Books a Million in Rock Hill. She was an expert knitter and enjoyed teaching others to knit. She was a loyal friend to all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 1pm, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2955 Highway 160 W. Fort Mill with Rev Joanne Sizoo Officiating.
A committal service will be held in Chillicothe, Ohio Saturday, May 6, 3pm,where her ashes will be floated on her favorite creek.
In lieu of flowers, Lori and Rick request that you give a donation to an Animal Rescue unit of your choice.
