Lorraine "Lorri" Ann Burroughs Stewart

Rock Hill – Lorraine “Lorri” Stewart , 64, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 6, 2018.

Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, at Trinity Baptist Church, 1519 Steel Hill Road, Lancaster, SC 29720. The family will receive friends following the service. Lorri will be laid to rest in Old Historic Goshen Cemetery, North Belmont, NC, in a private service.

A native of Amsterdam, NY, Mrs. Stewart was a daughter of the late Stanley Burroughs and Genevieve Chichester Burroughs. She received her nursing degree from Fulton Montgomery Community College, served as a Registered Nurse for 27 years and finished her career at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Indian Land where she served for the last 11 years as the financial administrator, she served on the board of Vision Ministries, and served as the financial secretary for SON Ministries in Fort Mill. This powerful woman of God was known and loved by many across America. Her love and support for the Gospel of Jesus Christ was shown in her time, her talent, and her treasure. She received her Masters of Biblical Studies from Trinity Bible Institute. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to treasure her memories are her husband of 37 years, Don J. Stewart, Sr.; a son, Don J. Stewart, Jr.; a daughter, Donna Carol Redding; two brothers, Doug Burroughs (Bonnie) and Michael Burroughs (Kim); two sisters, Marie Fariello (Mike) and Joann Uhlig (Paul); three granddaughters, Brooke Bennett, Bailey Bennett, and Madalynn Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Lillian Burroughs.
