Rock Hill, SC - Infant Luca Isaiah Carrion, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 3:16 pm on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Ebenezer ARP Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating.
Though Luca's life on this earth may have been brief, his impact on it is not. As his name means "bringer of Light" he has brought light and life into the lives of his parents and all who had the blessing of encountering him while still in his mother's womb, during delivery, and in the 16 hours and 25 minutes he lived on this earth. He has touched the hearts of many and showed that life, no matter the length, is precious and that every moment is to be treasured no matter the circumstances. He has taught his parents much about the love of God, and that joy and sorrow can be simultaneous. His mother and father prayed for a baby and God graciously chose them to be Luca's parents, a mission for which they are honored, blessed, and forever grateful for. Little baby boy Luca Isaiah Carrion is now loved and missed by his parents and surviving family and is now lovingly held in the arms of Jesus. He truly was fearfully and wonderfully made.
Surviving are his parents, Cristian and Melissa Carrion; maternal grandparents, Brian and Veronica Figarola; paternal grandparents, Edwin Carrion and Jeanette Melendez; maternal great-grandparents, Leticia Baskette and Thomas and Patricia Figarola; paternal grandmother, Carmen Torres; uncles, Joshua Figarola, Juanma Carrion and Joel Carrion; and aunt, Jean Marie Carrion.
Whitesell Funeral Home is serving the family.
