Lucas Blount

Monroe, NC Lucas Enrique Martinez Blount age 17, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was born in Mecklenburg County on March 21, 1995, the son of Jimmy and Carmen (Martinez) Blount Jr. of Monroe. Lucas was in the 10 th grade at Piedmont High School in Monroe. He loved his Lord, and his Church and was a member of St.Ann's Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing with his cat Tiger, and his dog Tiny. After graduation from Piedmont High his plans were to enlist into the US Marine Corp as an ROTC graduate. His passions were weight lifting, football, and Martial Arts. He was predeceased by 3 grandfathers; Marty Martinez, Jim Blount, and Ike Lara; one grandmother; Anne Davis Martinez, and a sister; Tana Culp Blount. Beside his parents; he is survived by 4 brothers; Alex Blount, David Bonham, Ric Culp Blount and Phillip Blount, 4 sisters; Nicole Bonham, Leslie Blount, Meadow Culp Blount, and Yaya Tana Blount all of Monroe, NC. Also 1 uncle, 5 aunts and several nieces and nephews, one of the cloeset was Anthony Meeks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Gabriels Catholic Church 3016 Providence Road Charlotte, NC 28211 followed by Interment at Crown Memorial Park 9620 Rodney St. Pineville, NC 28134 A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Palmetto Funeral Home 2049 Carolina Place Drive Fort Mill, SC from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Palmetto Funeral home is assisting the family.
