Luther H Tucker

Rock Hill, SC - Mr. Luther H. (Luke) Tucker, 88, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Rock Hill Post Acute Care.
A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday August 6 at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 2697 Heckle Blvd. Rock Hill, SC, with Rev. Irvin Plowden Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
Mr. Tucker was born in Canon, Ga., a son of the late James Robert and Fannie Herring Tucker.
He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 36 years working in Fullerton Calif. And Salt Lake City, Utah. His railroad career started in 1959 in Michigan with CTO Railroad. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his son David M. Tucker of Alexandria, Va. and his stepdaughter Debbie Tucker Alewine (Harold) of Rock Hill; sister Sarah Bradley and brother Bob Tucker of Rock Hill. Grandchildren Bobby and Mary Clayton Tucker of Alexandria, Va. And Tripp Alewine (Corrie) of Rock Hill. He is preceded in death by his wives, Aletha (Lee) Clayton Tucker and Doris (Dot) Gordon Tucker; sister Geneva Shiflet; brothers Hoyt, Roy, Hayward, Willie, Aremus, Charles and Gerald Tucker.
