Lynda Price Johnston

Lynda Price Johnston, 76, of 3199 Greenwood Road passed away on September 15, 2017 after a long illness. She was born February 10, 1941 in Monroe, NC, the daughter of Claude Wilson Price and Dallie Hinson Price. Lynda was retired from Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center with 33 years of service. She was a long time member of Friendship United Methodist Church, where she served many years as Treasurer, and a Circle Leader of Mary Martha Circle. Lynda was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Lee Price of Monroe NC, and Boyce Wilson Price of Fayetteville NC. She is survived by her Husband of 55 years, James Guy Johnston, two sisters, Judy Price Moore (Joe) of Wingate NC, and Claudette Price Ross of Rock Hill SC, two daughters, Johanna Johnston Sanders of the home, Lynda LuAnn Johnston of Clover, SC and a son James Garrett Johnston (Karen) of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A private burial will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC, with a Memorial service to be held at a later date at Friendship United Methodist Church. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 4pm - 7pm at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 1200 Neely Store Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Bass Cauthen Funeral Home is serving the family.
