Marcia Diane Dean Bizakis

Marcia Diane Dean Bizakis, 68, of Rock Hill, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1951 in Atlanta, GA, daughter of the late Dr. Douglas Orr and Mary Elizabeth Friar Dean.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Dean and Robin Dean.
Marcia was a dedicated caregiver and worked as a Registered Nurse in both the ICU and Labor and Delivery for McLeod Health Cheraw (formerly Chesterfield General Hospital), Mercy South Hospital in Charlotte and as a home health nurse. She was a member of St. Anthony the Greek Orthodox Church in Rock Hill. Artistic by nature, Marcia enjoyed writing poetry and painting. Most important to her was her family. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Anthony "Tony" Bizakis; sons, Aaron Tankersley and wife, Sarah of Atlanta, GA, Tad Tankersley of Columbia, Michael Conway and wife, Sarah of Camden and Daniel Conway of Charlotte; daughters, Tracy Hatcher and husband, Brian of Cheraw and Carrie Wiegand and husband, Cliff of Fairfax, VA; eleven grandchildren, Piper, Zane, Bridget, Karlee, Jacob, Owen, Rylie, Cooper, Dawson, Hunter and Brittany; sister, Pam Pendergraft and husband, Happy of Turbeville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will follow at 5:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 14, 2019 at St. Anthony the Greek Orthodox Church of Rock Hill. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
