Margaret Crawford Barfield

Indian Land, SC Mrs. Margaret Crawford Barfield 89 passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at CMC-Pineville. Born on April 8, 1924 in Lyerly, Georgia, her family moved to Fort Mill, SC in 1934. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Crawford and the widow of Wesley Barfield. She loved her family and friends. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Indian Land. She attended school in Fort Mill and graduated high school in 1942. Surviving are two sons, Alfred Barfield and his wife Judy and Thomas Barfield; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; four sisters, Lucile Ferrell, Marian Patterson, Agnes Conway and Mary Clyde Price. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Stewart and her grandson, Kevin Barfield as well as three sisters, Nadine, Elizabeth and Dorothy and a brother, Woodrow Crawford. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC with Rev. Barry Yates officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00pm before the service. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, SC.
