Margaret B Cathey

Margaret Ann Cathey (nee Bagley) passed away peacefully on September 7th, 2017 at Hospice House in Rock Hill. Margaret was born in Rock Hill on December 19th, 1935 to Louie and Lucille Bagley. She was the middle child of eight children. She lived in Rock Hill until she moved to California where she met her husband, Robert Boyce Cathey, Jr. She started her married life in Alabama. Then after the birth of her three children, moved to Georgia and Illinois until she finally settled back in South Carolina. Margaret had a deep love for God and her faith in Christ was everlasting. She was a member of the Orrs Baptist Church. Margaret cherished watching the Atlanta Braves, reading, shopping, playing cards, and taking care of her family. She is survived by her two remaining siblings; Linda Porter and Michael Bagley, her children; David Karl Cathey, Tanya Cathey Wright, and LuAnn Cathey Toborg, and seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2pm in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Laurelwood cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
