Margaret Lucille Newell

Margaret Lucille Newell, age 77, passed away at her home on Monday, March 20, 2017. She was born to the late Clarence and Mae Bell McKinney Merritt, on October 28, 1939.

Mrs. Newell is retired from Springs Industries, and a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved her family and her grandkids. She also loved to cook.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald E. Newell, Sr. of Fort Mill, SC, three sons Donald E. Newell, Jr and wife Robin, Mitchell W. Newell and wife Lynn, and Kenneth P. Newell and wife Terri; and a special nephew Bobby Joe Merritt. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Teresa M. Newell and her parents.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 2 PM at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church, 333 Highway 21 Bypass, Fort Mill, SC 29715. Pastor Carl Williams and Pastor Bill Ferguson will be presiding over the service. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
