Margaret Louise Ellrodt Staubach

January 5, 1914 — December 29, 2015

Margaret Louise Ellrodt Staubach born January 5, 1914 was called home on December 29, 2015. She was greeted and welcomed by Almighty God, Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her beloved husband William T. Staubach, Jr., seven brothers, one sister, the "Greats," the "Grands," numerous family members and life time friends.
A determined woman of grace, dignity and creativity, peppered with a bit of spunk and tenacity, Margaret (Margie) lived her life each day to the fullest, accepting without question the opportunities and challenges the Lord presented to her. She gave of herself completely to her family, her church, her community and all those with whom she crossed paths. Throughout her life, she was always willing to share, always willing to learn, and always willing to contribute.
She took great delight in the company of others and cherished her time alone to ponder, reflect, pray and commune with the Lord through her daily prayer list. She cherished and appreciated children's concerts, recitals and plays as much as she did the NY Philharmonic, the NY City Ballet and Broadway. A high school girl's lacrosse, field hockey or basketball game was as exciting to her as a NY Yankees or Giants game.
An avid reader, Margie's literary foundation was the Bible. She relished deepening her relationship with God by expanding her knowledge of Methodism through its study. Yet, she still found time to savor a good mystery, an historical novel, or an article in an archaeology magazine, and she always looked forward to the Sunday comics.
Her legacy of compassion and inclusiveness founded in her faith will live on in her daughters, Margaret Louise Staubach Hanson and Helen-Marie Staubach Berthold, her sons-in-law; Alfred E Hanson and David J. Berthold, her fabulous five "Grands", her super six "Greats" and the hundreds of lives she touched.
Job well done-Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Ram, GG.
