Margaret Gardner Williams, 83, of 2117 Bryan Ct., passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of York County, Mrs. Williams was born November 17, 1926 a daughter of the late John and Edna Thomas Gardner. She attended local schools and Winthrop University and retired from M. Lowenstein Inc. Springs Industries after fifty two and a half years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands George Russell, Roy Bryant and J. Thomas Williams, Sr. Mrs. Williams was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church where she served as Deacon, Elder and was active in women's work. She was also a Master Gardner and a Pink Lady Volunteer at Piedmont Medical Center. Surviving are numerous cousins and step-children. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Williams will be held Thursday at 11:00am at Bethesda Presbyterian Church with Reverend Daniel Smoak officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on S. Cherry Road. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall at the church following the graveside.
