Margaret Ann Stephens Wingate

Mrs. Margaret Ann Stephens Wingate, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. A native of Greenville, Margaret was a daughter of the late John Roscoe and Edna West Stephens. Born October 1, 1937 she was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church where she served on the church board, was a member of the Adult Sunday School class and a member of the United Methodist Women. Surviving are her husband Dewey Wingate, Sr.; a son Dewey Wingate, Jr. of Rock Hill ; two daughters Margaret Denese Wingate and Tandy Melissa Wingate both of Rock Hill; two brothers Hugh Stephens and his wife Pat of Greenville and Gary Stephens and his wife Cindy of Tampa, FL; and her faithful companion "Shadow." A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Friday at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens followed by a memorial service in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Revs. Tim Thompson and Terry Wingate officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, and at other times at Dewey and Margaret's home. Rambo St., Rock Hill, SC 29732, Northside Baptist Church, 1140 Curtis Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730, or to a charity of your choice.
