Marguerite Scott, 92,died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living in Rock Hill.
The Memorial service will be Tuesday, May 15 at 1:00 pm at Rawlinson Road Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Beeks officiating.
Born in Wymore, Nebr., Marguerite was a daughter of Will and Freda Gerdes.
She moved to San Francisco, CA in her early 20's where she met her husband Charles. After living in the Bay Area for 18 years, where she worked for Pfizer, they moved to Southern California. She continued to work as a secretary for Pfizer and they lived in Southern California until they retired to Henderson, Nevada. They moved to Rock Hill to be close to their daughter and her family. They were married 53 years before she was widowed.
Marguerite was always very active in her church, serving as a church secretary for several years. She loved the Lord and it showed in her actions. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.
Surviving are her daughter, Suzanne Lujan (Mark), Rock Hill; Grandsons, Thomas Lujan, Rock Hill, and Jesse Lujan, Rock Hill, Great Granddaughter Harmony, Charlotte, Nieces Debbie Weis (Jay Furtak), Omaha, Pam Gerdes, Wymore, Patty Banegas (Richard), So. San Francisco, Nephews David Gerdes, Lincoln, Dale Gerdes, Dennis Gerdes, Wymore, Bill Gerdes, Wymore, Kenneth Gerdes (Shirley), Omaha, Mark Gerdes, So. San Francisco, Randall Scott (Pil Hee), Carrollton, TX, Rich Scott (Iva), Lynchburg, Gary Scott, Philip Scott, Milan, IA.
She was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Altha McCracken (Telford), Erwin Gerdes (Dorothy), Fred Gerdes (Clara), Edwin Gerdes (Lorraine).
