Maria Rivera-Merced

Maria Rivera-Merced, Age 76 recently a resident of Rock Hill, South Carolina, entered into the arms of the Lord peacefully on Thursday June 30th. She was courageous in her last months fighting a battle with her sickness. She was born on August 15, 1945, in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Carmelo Rivera and Sebastiana “Fabiana” Merced.

Maria is remembered for her loving dedication to her family and friends. Her grandchildren and her great grandchild were her pride. She loved her plants, cooking, and have family over.

Maria is survived by her son Robert, Daughter Marianela, and grandchildren: Elizabeth, Matthew, Marilisa, Jacob and Brooke, and her great granddaughter Harper-Rose.

A service to celebrate Maria’s life will be held at the Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital

María Rivera-Merced, de 76 años, recientemente residente de Rock Hill, Carolina del Sur, entró en los brazos del Señor pacíficamente el jueves 30 de junio. Fue valiente en sus últimos meses luchando contra su enfermedad. Nació el 15 de agosto de 1945 en Ponce, Puerto Rico, hija de Carmelo Rivera y Sebastiana "Fabiana" Merced.

María es recordada por su amorosa dedicación a su familia y amigos. Sus nietos y su bisnieto eran su orgullo. Le encantaban sus plantas, cocinar y tener familia en su casa.

A María le sobreviven su hijo Robert, su hija Marianela y sus nietos: Elizabeth, Matthew, Marilisa, Jacob y Brooke, y su bisnieta Harper-Rose.

Un servicio para celebrar la vida de María se llevará a cabo en la Capilla de la Funeraria Palmetto en Fort Mill, Carolina del Sur.

En lugar de flores, se pueden hacer contribuciones conmemorativas a St. Jude Children's Hospital
