Marian Deitrick Hutchins, 98, of Tega Cay, SC passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her daughter's home 10 days shy of her 99th birthday. Born in Richmond, Virginia the daughter of the late William Henley Deitrick and Mary Dunnavant Deitrick. She was a former bookkeeper for A.P. Grappone & Sons in Richmond, Virginia for 17 years until she retired and moved to White Stone, VA. She lived there until she moved in with her daughter and late son-in-law, John, in 1996 in Hilton Head Island, SC. They moved to Tega Cay in 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Hutchins, Jr. and her daughter, Patricia Hutchins Whitt.
A service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Mausoleum Chapel at Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond, VA with The Rev. Becki Dean of Saint Michael's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Hutchins is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Hutchins Sexton of Tega Cay, a granddaughter, Meredith Whitt Burns (Scott) of Savannah, GA and 3 grandsons, Thomas Gregory Whitt of Richmond Hill, GA and J. T. Sexton of Argentina and Brad Sexton (Megan) of Indian Land, SC. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Andrew Burns and Elyse and Mckenna Sexton and four grand dogs, Lady, Bella, Toby and Koko and the late Whiskey all being Labs.
