Marion Woods

ROCK HILL - Marion Carroll Woods, 93, passed away peacefully Friday, January 23, 2015, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A celebration of life will be 4:00 PM Sunday, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with Bishop Rusty Graff officiating. Burial will be in Provo, Utah.

Born in Provo, Utah, December 13, 1921, Mrs. Woods was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Anna R. Carroll. She was a faithful, lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a member of the Rock Hill Ward. She served in many callings in the church which included Ward Librarian. She was also very active doing genealogy and family research for many years. Marion will be remembered for her love of God, her family, her church family, and doing deeds for others.

Mrs. Woods is survived by her son Bill and wife Pat of Rock Hill; son Gordon and wife Sue of Denville, N.J.; daughter Carol Ann Siegel and husband Larry, of Miami, FL.; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Carroll and her sister, Catherine Carroll.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service (3:00 PM) at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Rock Hill Ward, 1883 Saluda Road, Rock Hill, S.C., 29730. Or to a charity of one's choice.
