Mrs. Marlyn Joan Oehrli passed away in palliative care at Carolinas Medical Center on Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 72. Marlyn was born on June 16, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Andrew and Marion Pacenza. She had a long career of service as an administrative professional in business, public education, and the private sector. She most recently retired from the Merion Cricket Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the senior administrative assistant for club membership. She moved to Tega Cay, South Carolina in 2001 to enjoy retirement with her husband and spend time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, excellent cook, and she loved to travel. Marlyn was a proud member of the Chancel Choir at Unity Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Oehrli is survived by her husband Alfred J. Oehrli, Jr. of Tega Cay, South Carolina; her son Daniel Oehrli and wife Joyce of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; her son Steven Oehrli and wife Patricia of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; her daughter Beth Frattaroli and husband Scott of Fort Mill, South Carolina; her sister Marlese Westdyke of Bartonsville, Pennsylvania; and her grandchildren Anthony Frattaroli and Dominic Frattaroli of Fort Mill, South Carolina.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2016, at 11 AM, at Unity Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina with Reverends Dan Holloway and Jeannie Bickett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Unity Presbyterian Church's Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marlyn's life.
