Martha Patterson Jordon

Richburg - Martha Patterson Jordon, 53, died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, at Church 180, 2685 Celenese Road., Rock Hill, with Revs. James Locklair and Steve Grant officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road.


A native of Fort Mill, she is the daughter of Tressie Totherow Patterson and the late John Walter Patterson.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Wayne Barron; two sons, Michael Ray and Walter Glenn Jordan; a daughter, Elexus Jordan; sisters, Fay Bass, Florene Locklair, Betty Gregory, Janice Dawson, Libby Higginbotham, Cathy Rains, and Peggy Bayne; brothers, Joe and Albert Patterson, Don Patterson, and Michael Patterson; daughter in laws; Crystal and Erica Jordan; ten grandchildren, Tyler, Haly, Shawn, Jessica, Brent, Mikayla, Tanner, Cody, Hayden and Sky.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Renia Patterson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday, at Whitesell Funeral Home and other times at 612 Elberta Lane, Fort Mill, S.C..
