Martha Jo Norwood

Fort Mill

Martha Jo Connor Norwood, 84, of Fort Mill, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior June 17, 2021. She was a graduate of Fort Mill High School and Mars Hill University. Martha worked in pathology and histology during her medical career. She was a member of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church. She was a proud Cub Scout Den Mother for her sons’ Cub Scout troops. She was a member of the Fort Mill Rescue Squad Auxiliary Unit and a Fort Mill Band Booster. She enjoyed gardening, reading, watching old western movies, sudoku puzzles, and playing fetch with her fur baby, Dottie.

Martha is survived by her three children, Belinda Franks (Mark), Michael Norwood (Tonya), and Robert Norwood (Kerri); her sister, Marilyn Connor; five grandchildren, Heather and Adam Franks (Michelle), Connor, Jake, and Clayton Norwood.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Hal Boyd Connor and Euzelia Watson Connor; and two brothers, Bill and Jerry Connor.

A receiving of friends and family will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22nd, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00pm at Palmetto Funeral Home. Reverend Russell Benton will officiate the service.

Martha was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
